CHARLIE CHAPLIN COSTUME
A rare image of Charlie Chaplin in his classic 'Tramp' costume
We are very pleased to offer you the rare chance to own one of the definitive Chaplin images in his classic 'Tramp' costume (complete with baggy trousers, a small derby hat, a tight coat, a large pair of shoes and a small moustache) in the form of a limited edition print.
The photograph from c.1920 is one of the finest surviving examples of Chaplin's Tramp character that has ever been available for purchase. Furthermore, Chaplin biographer David Robinson will be overseeing the prints production.
The 1914 film Kid Auto Races in Venice was Chaplin's second film and was the début of his most memorable on-screen character: the 'Tramp' - a character that Theodore Huff, a Charlie Chaplin biographer, believed "personified shabby gentility - the fallen aristocrat at grips with poverty."
